Several iconic North American tree species are currently threatened by invasive pests and diseases.
These include:
- Ash
- Hemlock
- Elm
- American chestnut
- Butternut
- Beech

By growing and testing resistant trees, the farm may help contribute to the long-term survival of some of North America’s most important forest trees.
Nagog Hill Orchard aims to support these efforts by providing space for collaboration with researchers and citizen scientists interested in restoring these species.
